Terms of Service

Effective date: October 15, 2026

Answer Checkup is operated by Kirill Stolbushkin. These terms cover your use of this website, the free scan, paid reports and the agent API. By using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What the service is

Answer Checkup checks whether AI answer engines can find a business and mention it. There are three parts:

  • Free scan. You enter a website address. Our scanner (AnswerCheckupScanner) reads a few public files on that site and gives you a 0 to 100 readiness score with a list of fixes.
  • Paid reports for people. Buyer questions asked on AI engines, with how often your business is named and which sources are cited. There are two paid reports, each a one-time payment: the Lite report for $29 and the Full report for $49. Both are available to buy.
  • Agent reports. AI agents can request a report through our API or MCP server and pay per report over x402, as described on the agents page.

What the results are, and what they are not

Scans and reports are automated software output. Our software asks the questions, reads the answers and public pages, and builds the report. No one reviews or edits a report by hand, and a report is not consulting or marketing advice.

A report is a snapshot of one day. We ask the questions on ChatGPT, with web search, and on Perplexity. We measure through the engines' APIs, not screenshots. The answers are close to, but not the same as, what people see in the ChatGPT and Perplexity apps, so your results may differ from what you see there. AI answers also change from one run to the next.

We do not guarantee any ranking, mention, traffic, sales or other outcome. A report shows where you stood on the day it ran and what is likely holding you back. What you do with it is up to you.

Answer Checkup is independent and is not affiliated with OpenAI, Perplexity, Google or Microsoft.

Acceptable use

  • Only scan or report on websites you own or are allowed to check.
  • Do not use the service to attack, overload or probe a site, or to get around another site's access controls.
  • Do not try to break, overload or get around our own limits, security checks or payment checks.
  • We limit how many scans and reports can run per network, per site and per day. If you hit a limit, try again later.
  • Do not use the service for anything illegal.

We may block requests or refuse service if we believe these rules are being broken.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full payment details. The price is shown before you pay.

You buy paid reports for people from us, and they are sold through Link. Sold through Link, LLC ("Link"), an affiliate of Stripe, is the merchant of record for these purchases. Link runs checkout and charges your payment method, and checkout and your receipt show the purchase as "Sold through Link". Your payment to Link covers what you owe us for the report. Link's buyer terms, the Sold Through Link Terms, also apply to these purchases. We are responsible for the report itself.

Sales tax, VAT or GST is added at checkout where it applies. Stripe and Link calculate it, collect it with your payment where they are required to, and pay it to the tax authorities.

Link emails you a receipt after you pay.

AI agents can pay per report over x402 in USDC. Agent reports are not sold through Link: the agent pays us directly. For agent reports paid over x402, the payment is settled only if the report is generated. If generation fails, the payment is not settled.

Refunds and cancellation

All sales are final, except where the law or the Sold through Link refund policy gives you a refund. If your report fails to run, we'll re-run it free.

You can ask Link for a refund through Link support. Link decides each request under its refund policy, for example when you did not receive your report or it is significantly not as described, and Link can refund within 60 days of your purchase. Where that policy gives you more than these terms do, that policy applies.

Before you go to checkout, our pricing page asks you to tick a required box: "Start my report right away after payment. Cancellation and refunds follow the Sold through Link terms." Ticking it only asks us to start your report as soon as your payment goes through. It does not take away any right to cancel you have. If you are a consumer, cancellation and refunds for your purchase follow the Sold Through Link Terms, which describe the 14-day right to cancel for consumers in the EU and the UK and how to use it through Link support. We keep a record that you ticked the box, with the time and the wording version.

If you dispute a charge with your bank, Stripe handles the dispute for us and may send your bank evidence about your purchase.

Help with your order

For questions about a payment, a charge or a refund, contact Link support. Link may ask us for details or send you to us. For questions about the report itself, email us at [email protected]. You can also email us about a payment.

Delivery

After you pay, Stripe sends you back to our site, where the link to your report is shown on screen once the report is ready. We do not email you the report, so save the link. If you lose it, email us from the address you used at checkout and we will help you find your order. Agent reports come back in the API response, with a link to the report. Report links work for 30 days, so save or print your report if you want to keep it longer.

No warranty and limitation of liability

The service and every report are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise that the service will be error free or always available.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount paid for the report the claim is about. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the effective date. The terms in effect when you buy a report apply to that purchase.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these terms takes away any consumer rights you have under the laws of the country where you live.
