Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 15, 2026

Answer Checkup is operated by Kirill Stolbushkin. This page explains what we collect when you use this website, the free scan, paid reports and the agent API, why, and how long we keep it.

The short version

  • We do not sell your data.
  • We collect only what we need to run scans, deliver reports and stop abuse.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full payment details.
  • This site does not set cookies and runs no advertising trackers. We count visits and page speed with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not fingerprint visitors.

Free scan

When you run a free scan, we receive the website address you enter. Our scanner (AnswerCheckupScanner) then fetches, at most, that site's /robots.txt, the page you entered, /llms.txt and up to 3 of its sitemap URLs. It does not follow links, submit forms, log in or run JavaScript. Details: about our scanner.

Your score and fixes are sent back to your browser. We do not save scan results.

To limit abuse, we count scans per network and per site. We store these counts under a one-way hash of your IP address and of the site's domain, not the raw values, and they expire after about an hour.

The scan form does not use Cloudflare Turnstile or any other CAPTCHA. If we add one, we will update this page first.

When you buy a paid report, we collect:

  • Your email address, entered on Stripe's checkout page. Stripe and Link use it to send your receipt and for payment support. We do not copy it into our order records, and we do not email you your report.
  • The website and business name you want the report about, plus any competitors you list.
  • An order record: the Stripe checkout ID, payment status, amount, currency, the website and business name, the date, and whether you ticked the box on our pricing page asking us to start your report right away (with the time and wording version). We keep it for 90 days.

To build the report, we send buyer questions, which can include your business name and category, to OpenAI (for ChatGPT answers) and Perplexity. Their answers are cached for 24 hours. The finished report, which includes your website, business name, competitors and the answers, is kept for 30 days at a private link that is not listed or indexed.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. For paid reports, Stripe's affiliate Sold through Link, LLC ("Link") is the merchant of record. At checkout, Stripe and Link collect your payment details, email address, name and billing address to take the payment, work out sales tax, send your receipt and give you payment support. They handle this data under their own policies: see the Stripe privacy policy and the Link privacy policy. We never receive or store your full payment details.

Stripe holds the payment data for purchases sold through Link. If you want it deleted, email us and we will pass your request to Stripe.

AI agents can pay over x402 in USDC. Payments on a public blockchain are visible to anyone by design. To stop a payment being used twice, we store a one-way hash of the paying wallet address and the payment's one-time number for 7 days.

Hosting and logs

This site and our API run on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details to serve the site and protect it from attacks, and may keep logs under its own policies. Cloudflare also asks your browser to report failed connections to our site to Cloudflare (Network Error Logging). Successful page loads are not reported.

Our own application logs record events such as "scan finished" with the score, or "report generated" with the report type. They are designed to leave out email addresses, IP addresses and payment details. For the free scan, we do not store these logs: log storage (Cloudflare Workers Logs) and log export (Logpush) are turned off, so the lines can only be watched live and are not kept.

Web analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see how fast our pages load. Cloudflare adds a small script to our pages. Your browser loads it from static.cloudflareinsights.com and sends the measurements to Cloudflare at cloudflareinsights.com. Like any web request, that request reaches Cloudflare with your IP address.

Cloudflare says Web Analytics does not use cookies, local storage or any other client-side state, and does not fingerprint visitors by IP address, user agent string or other data. It is not used to track you across other websites.

For each page view it records:

  • the page's host and path (not the query string after "?")
  • the site that linked you to it, if any
  • your country
  • your browser, operating system and device type (desktop, mobile or tablet)
  • how the page was loaded (for example a click, a reload or the back button)
  • page load timing and Core Web Vitals (how quickly the page appears and responds)

We see only totals, such as page views, visits and load times, in Cloudflare's dashboard for the previous six months. Cloudflare keeps the full data for 7 days and then keeps an aggregated sample. If an ad blocker stops the script, nothing is sent.

Email

If you email us, we receive your message and email address and use them to reply. Mail to our address is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to our team mailbox.

Cookies and storage

We do not set cookies, and we do not run advertising scripts. Cloudflare Web Analytics (see above) uses no cookies or local storage. Cloudflare, our host, can set a strictly necessary security cookie in some cases (for example __cf_bm, to tell people from bots); it set none on our pages or the free scan when we last checked. If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your own browser's local storage. It is not sent to us.

Who we share data with

We do not sell or rent your data. We share it only with the services that run Answer Checkup: Cloudflare (hosting, security checks, web analytics and email forwarding), Stripe and its affiliate Link (payments, sales tax, receipts and payment support), OpenAI and Perplexity (answering the report questions), and our email provider. We may also disclose data if the law requires it.

Your choices

  • You can ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by email.
  • For data Stripe and Link hold about your payment, see the Payments section above.
  • Site owners can stop our scanner by blocking it in robots.txt, as explained on about our scanner.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date.
